Frame-accurate, timecode-aware
Markers are placed on the frame containing the clap. Slate Finder reads embedded QuickTime/MXF timecode and broadcast-WAV time references, including field-recorder metadata, so marks line up with your project's timecode — even in mixed-frame-rate projects.

FAQ
What kinds of footage does it handle?
Anything your NLE reads and ffmpeg can decode: camera originals (QuickTime, MXF), merged clips, and standalone field-recorder WAV files. Detection currently works from the audio track; a video-based mode for MOS and audio-less clips is in development.
What about takes with no clap?
Clips where no clap is detected are reported as such rather than force-marked, so you always know which takes to check by hand.
Does my footage get uploaded anywhere?
No. Slate Finder runs entirely on your machine.
What does it cost?
The beta is free. Pricing for the release version will be announced to beta testers first.
